Defensive Carbine for the Street

  • 1 Day course
  • $500.00

The street can be an unforgiving, chaotic and confusing environment.

If you’ve had to deploy your carbine, in a street environment, you can guarantee that things have gone bad, quickly, and time will not be on your side.

Our Street Scene System of Training (SSST) helps you to identify what you are, and what you are not, in control of, so that you can prioritize response options, and take back control of a situation not of your making.

course description

The course strips away range-only habits, and replaces them with messy, functional and effective techniques for carbine use, during street-based operations, navigating urban clutter, managing 3rd party bystanders and civilians, and solving complex, tactical problems under stress.

The course covers:

  • Systematic Problem Solving – Analysis of environment, threat identification, securing a dominant tactical position.
  • Asymmetric Street Movement – Fluid weapon manipulations, dynamic movement (forward, lateral, rear), aggressive threat interdiction, choosing angles, multiple threat engagements.
  • Street-Environment Dilemmas – Managing civilians and bystanders, using available cover appropriately, carbine deployment from a vehicle.
