The 26-day, Close Protection Course consists of:
The 14 day BTEC Level 3 CP Course and the 5 day QNUK First Responders Course, are both SIA approved.
This 26-day course that will prepare you for both Hostile and Executive Close Protection roles. As well as the subjects specified by the SIA, this course goes above and beyond that, covering, what we believe to be the Essential Functions (EF’s) of Close Protection Operations. The course is held at our Training Facility in Bulgaria.
The role of a Close Protection Operative is as varied as it is challenging. As a Close Protection Operative, you will find yourself protecting a wide variety of different Clients; from Oil Workers to Diplomats, Celebrities, CEO's and High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and their families. In addition, the Close Protection Operative often needs to deal with high pressure and potentially dangerous or conflict management situations, which require in-depth knowledge and training. The demands of the job dictate that this Close Protection course covers an extremely broad range of skills.
With this in mind, we use a pool of trained actors as Role Players, who will put you through challenging and frustrating scenarios, throughout the course, where your "soft-skills" will be put under scrutiny. They will play a specific role in order to see how you react under different situations and various types of pressure. How you react to these scenarios can have a detrimental effect on your, your team and your Clients safety. Every action you take or don’t take, has a consequence. This Course will emphasise that being a Close Protection Operative, whether in a Hostile or Executive capacity is, first and foremost, about thinking and using your intelligence to deal with challenging situations.
In contrast to other training providers, selected learners will be put forward for an interview with a variety of employers, including executive security companies such as Polaris Operations Ltd, Blackstone Consultancy Ltd and GardaWorld. Please be aware that attending this course does NOT guarantee you an interview and being selected for an interview does NOT guarantee employment.
In order to improve the standards of CPO's joining the Industry and to make sure that our reputation for supplying CPO's to the above mentioned companies is maintained, Go Noisy have introduced a "pre-course" Physical Fitness Assessment that all course participants will have to evIdence that they have achieved, prior to attending the course.
Potential CPO's, must understand that their is a requirement to be physically fit enough to do the job of a CPO, otherwise not only will the standard of the course be reduced but, in addition, it may also operationally compromise and/or affect the integrity of any CP Team that the CPO may join after the course.
Go Noisy has a duty of care and an obligation to (a) it's Learners, so that they receive value for money and have the best course experience possible and (b) to the companies, employers and Clients who you will be working for. We also value our company's reputation and integrity, which could be damaged by a Learner's lack of physically fitness when applying for employment after completion of their course.
The Physical Fitness Assessment and it's accompanying paperwork, will be sent to all course participants as part of their Joining Instructions. Therefore, it is crucial that participants plan ahead and book on the course with an appropriate lead-in time that will allow you to successfully pass the assessment.
Your ability to accurately and honestly state, in writing, that you have passed the Assessment is paramount to proving that you have the required integrity to not only attend our course but also to join the Close Protection Industry, where your integrity is not only required; it is expected.
Learners will be required to sign a declaration that they have passed the Physical Fitness Assessment, along with their Assessment Score Card both of which, will be emailed back to Go Noisy prior to the course commencing.
Learners will also be agreeing to the Terms & Conditions of the Physical Fitness Assessment, whereby if it is clear that the Learner has purposley misled Go Noisy pertaining to their physical fitness level, that they will forfeit their place on the course and receive a full refund, minus deposit.
All Learners will be required to complete the Physical Fitness Assessment on the day before the first day of the CP course (day minus 1) and any Learner, where it is clear that they are not at the required fitness standard and have purposely misled Go Noisy pertaining to their physical fitness level, will forfeit their place on the course and receive a full refund, minus deposit.
Go Noisy reserve the right to have a flexible approach regarding the Learners performance on their Physical Fitness Assessment on day minus 1, in that, if a Learner is a few seconds over a permitted time or does not achieve the required number of reps, then Go Noisy will take into account their performance on the other Assessment Exercises, before making a definitive decision whether the Learner can proceed onto the CP Course proper.

The content of the Close Protection course has been carefully designed utilising our extensive experience and many years working in the Close Protection industry, to provide one of the most in depth and comprehensive courses on the market today.
The course has been designed in a “building block” style. You will learn skills in a “stand-alone” capacity and as the course progresses; those “stand-alone” skills will gradually start building on one another, until you fully understand how a Close Protection operation works. The learning curve is steep as the course progresses. You may even doubt your ability to remember everything. However, at a certain point in the course, everything just clicks into place; just as it is supposed to.
During the course you will spend minimal time in the classroom. However, there are some theoretical PowerPoint presentations you will have to go through before you do some things practically. And, thanks to the kindness of local business owners, we even do some of those theoretical lessons in cafés, bars and restaurants, over a coffee, in order to conduct the lesson in a “live” environment and get the lesson across more succinctly.
After that, it’s all outside, either on the Range or in the nearby towns and cities around the training centre, conducting Exercises, Reconnaissance, Surveillance and various other assignments. The course includes a Surveillance package, where you will learn the importance of The Surveillance Survey and how to incorporate that into your overall Close Protection Operational Planning. You will be given a well-known individual and a location in order to carry out a Threat & Risk Assessment Assignment that will test your powers of research and your ability to analyse information. You will produce Reconnaissance Reports that will be used by someone else to plan an operation and you will be assessed by your attention to detail and diligence. You will also spend a day doing CP Driving on a private Racetrack. You will plan and conduct a Route Planning and Driving Commentary Exercise, in and around the local area, in order to assess your mobile navigation, your driving and your ability to deliver clear and understandable directions to someone else via radio communications. You will also plan and conduct a 24-hour Executive Exercise, with a Role-Playing VIP, that will test your limits of flexibility, interpersonal skills and your ability to find solutions to problems, not of your making.
During the course our experienced instructors will take you through:
During the 7-day, HEPCO phase of the course, you will put through the following:
There will be Live Firing, bangs, smoke, cars, Role Players and non-compliant Clients to deal with. It is one of the most challenging, yet enjoyable, parts of the course.
You will be assessed throughout the course, whether you believe you are being watched or not. Teamwork, interpersonal skills, temperament, your thought process, to name but a few, will be constantly assessed. You will take part in a lengthy classroom-based discussion that will identify where your moral compass points and will highlight the difference between morally wrong but legally right and legally right but morally wrong.
The CP Course also includes the 5-day Level 3 QNUK First Responders.
Learners are required to successfully pass the following assessments:
Learners must meet the following criteria:
