Vehicle Defense Course (Civilian)

The aim of the course is to make you more situationally aware and to provide you with workable avoidance and response procedures, and to emphasize to you, how crucial your own mindset is, in avoiding, reacting to and managing, these types of incidents.

Whether they occur in your drive-way, a supermarket car-park or driving on a public road – you still require workable and functional “options” of response. How you respond to these incidents is dependent upon so many environmental factors – no two incidents will be the same.

Simply assuming you will be able to drive through or reverse out of an incident, will leave you completely unprepared for the chaos, fear, confusion and violence that these types of incidents can result in.

course description

Here’s a question for you…

If a hostile crowd has surrounded your vehicle and you cannot drive through/reverse out…are you prepared to do whatever it takes? (within the law). Would you KNOW what to do…?

Ultimately, only you can answer that question – so let’s pose other questions that may help you answer it:

  • Do you have the mindset to make, what might be, the most difficult decision you will possibly ever have to make, should your vehicle be blocked/surrounded by a hostile
    crowd/illegal demonstration?
  • Where do you wear/keep your firearm(s) in your vehicle? Can you get to them quickly?
  • What state of readiness is/are your firearm(s) kept in? Condition 0 – 4?
  • If you have to bail from your vehicle…do you know how/when to do that?
  • Who else might be in the vehicle that you are responsible for?
  • Are you able to draw your firearm and fight from the confines of your vehicle?

The course is designed to provide you with both avoidance and response options to an attack on you whilst in your vehicle.

The course consists of classroom-based, informative learning and case-study discussions, scenario-based judgement training and live fire exercises. We specifically concentrate on the following three types of incidents:

  • Carjacking
  • Road Rage Incidents
  • Demonstrators/Protestors surrounding your vehicle
