Hard Extraction Level 3 (HELOPS)

EXTRACTION – The process of removing yourself and/or 3rd parties from a targeted site.

HELOPS – Operations using helicopters, as the primary means of insertion and extraction.

The aim of the course, is to insert into a street-scene, vehicle-centric, kinetic environment and extract a 3rd party (downed law enforcement officer, hostage, operator, civilian), when speed, aggression, communication and operational planning are mission critical.

You will be using both HELO’s and VEH’s and you will be required to plan, brief and conduct your own operation.

course description

Day 2 – You will be given a scenario brief, threat picture, air-photos and a “model” of your area of operations (AOR)…after that, it’s over to you guys to plan, brief and conduct your Operation, using HELO’s as your preferred means of insertion and extraction.
