The purpose of the course is to provide you with more effective tactical response “options” when working covertly in a non-permissive urban environment, where operational integrity is key to success.
The course provides a multi-dimensional selection of operating procedures and response options, whilst sustaining long-term operational capacity, durability and effectiveness. The course is based on covert British Intelligence tradecraft and mechanics that will allow you to operate, more effectively, in a non-permissive environment, with a reduced risk of compromise and an increased chance of operational success.
The course is delivered from a passive “covert/undercover” platform, whilst also providing that all-important capability for a more kinetic response option (if required) and is specific to urban / street / town environments and is specifically designed for Direct Action (DA), Irregular Warfare (IW) and covert Executive Protection operations.
It is NOT just the “location” of where you are operating, that makes it “non-permissive”, it is the “nature” of your role, the people you are working against and the consequences for you/your team/your client and/or your government, if compromised / captured, that makes it “non-permissive”.
You will be put through numerous scenario-based “judgement” training exercises, with role players, where your soft-skills will be tested and your not-so-soft-skills will be expected to show themselves at the appropriate times, which will be for you to decide when that is. This element of the course, culminates in a physically and mentally robust exercise.
We place a lot of emphasis on your ability to think for yourself and deal with a situation in the way that YOU believe it should be dealt with.
You will be taken through the use of cover stories and will be expected to “live” that cover story throughout the course.
You will be taken through selected elements of SERE training and be expected to know how and when to use that training during the course.
The course is specifically designed for individuals and teams who operate in a covert / undercover role:
